Kluski Noodles with Mushrooms
2 Onions, chopped
1 cup dried Wild Mushrooms, sliced
1 lb Sauerkraut (or Cabbage)
3 tb butter
1/2 lb Polish Kluski Egg Noodles
1 cup of vegetable stock
Salt and Pepper
Soak the Polish dried wild mushrooms overnight.
Drain mushrooms and chop finely.
Take a large pan and lightly brown onions in butter
Add wild mushrooms, kraut (or cabbage), and
Cover and cook on a low heat for 30 minutes.
Cook noodles in a separate pan. Drain water.
Mix Kluski egg noodles and mushroom and cabbage
together, and serve. This is a delicious Polish vegetarian dish for
Christmas Eve (Wigilia)
